Scope

This article provides troubleshooting steps for resolving the issue of no video display on a monitor after the system powers on. It guides the user through basic checks and adjustments to ensure the monitor and video connections are correctly set up.

 

Problem

Monitor shows no video after system powers on.

 

Solution

Make sure the monitor has power and is turned on, then check if video cables are securely plugged in.

 

Instructions

1. Check Monitor Power

Ensure your monitor(s) have their power cable plugged in and are powered on. The source and power button may be different for your monitor.

2. Check Video Cable Connection

Ensure the video cable from the monitor is securely plugged in.

Example: DVI output:

 

 

3. Set Monitor to Correct Video Source

Ensure your monitor is set to the correct video source.

Example: If you are using a DVI cable, make sure your monitor source is set to DVI.

 

4. Check Video Cable Port

Verify the video cable is plugged into the correct port on the back of your system.

Note: There are various systems we build, please refer to the System Info Flier provided to you to find your correct video port. We provide a System Info Flier for most of the systems we ship to our customers. If you do not have one, please email systemsupport@exxactcorp.com, and we will work with you to get your system displaying video.
