OCCT Windows Benchmark & System Validation

Document Scope

OCCT is a comprehensive stability and performance testing software. CPU, GPU, Memory VRAM are tested in the most efficient and accurate way possible. The following documentation explains how to download and run OCCT on your local Windows system

Step 1: Download

To download the free version of OCCT go to https://www.ocbase.com/download and click the download icon. It will ask "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device". Choose "Yes".

Step 2: Install and Run

An executable file named  “OCCT.exe” will be downloaded. Click the executable file to launch the program. Accept the "License Agreement"

At the first splash screen click "START" to start the program. It will launch the OCCT interface.

Step 3: Configure the test

From the left pane choose “STABILITY TEST, then choose “COMBINED”.

Under where it says  “COMBINED TEST CONFIGURATION” Click the check boxes for CPU+RAM, 3D Standard, and VRAM.

For systems with multiple GPUs: Under “3D STANDARD CONFIGURATION” choose “Enabled where it says “USE ALL GPUS”. Choose “Enabled” where it says “ERROR DETECTION".

Under “VRAM CONFIGURATION”  choose “Enabled” where its says “USE ALL GPUS” and under “MEMORY” Change to “90”.

Step 4: Run the test

To start the Test, click the “Start” button” from the left pane

A popup window will appear with a start countdown, once completed click “START”

The test will start and run for 1 hour.

When completed, the Test status will appear in the left pane. 

  • If no errors are detected then the test has Passed.
  • If any errors occur, click the copy icon and paste the copied information into your Support ticket so that our support agents can analyze the errors to determined the cause / resolution.
