Document Scope

This article will cover a few of the best practices you can use when shipping systems via palletized freight to minimize any shipping related issues that may arise.

Original packaging

Exxact recommend you keep the original system box and packaging material, in case of any issues that require shipping the system back to Exxact. Damaged parts will not be accepted and will result in RMA rejection so make sure you take as much care as possible to protect your system.

Information needed to schedule freight pick-up

In the event we need to schedule pick-up from your location, our shipping team will need the below information. While you will likely be prompted for this by either our warehouse staff or RMA department, having this handy can save time and get your system return processed in a more timely manner.

Please provide two pictures of the pallet, with the box securely strapped to pallet.

Company Name:
Contact Name:
Contact Phone Number:
Pick-up Address:
Does the address provided have a shipping/loading dock/gate/lift area?

Available Days/Time* for Pick-Up:
(Example: Monday-Thursday/10AM-4PM)
*Morning Freight Pick-up depending on location, you may need to call your local distribution center to schedule a specific time-frame (i.e. morning, small time-frame window)

Shipment Dimensions: x x "
(Length x Width x Height" of entire shipment including box AND pallet)
Shipment Weight:
If you do not have a shipping scale large enough to measure a pallet's weight, then provide us with your box dimensions and pallet material type (i.e. Pallet or Box could be plastic or wood) so we may try to estimate the weight.

Pallet

The size of your pallet should be larger than the box that is being placed on it. In the below picture, you can see:

Packing GPU Nodes in box

Make sure packaging material is used all around the system in the box. No part of the system should be touching the sides of the box.
