Document Scope
This article will discuss a few of the recommendations and expectations for how to best ship your system component (like a GPU or DIMM) back to Exxact after having a Component RMA issued.
Warranty
If the system is beyond the thirty (30) day period from shipment, then customers will need to handle the labor, process, and costs of shipping their component to Exxact as per our Systems Parts and Labor Standard Warranty. Exxact will, however, bear the cost of the return shipment to the customer.
Safely Packaging Your Component
Packages are expected to be tossed around or mishandled like any other that go through any shipping company's distribution center staff and conveyer belts, so it's important to take every precaution to properly package your item.
- Use a box large enough that the component that needs to be shipped back can be oriented horizontally or vertically inside of the box, with ~2 inches between the component and all edges of the box (top+bottom included).
- NEVER use a box where you are forced to orient the component diagonally. If you are unsure, please send a top-view open-box picture of your shipment to Exxact through your RMA ticket so we may advise.
- Use anti-static bags if you have them, otherwise, please refrain from using packaging that will result in excessive amounts of static (i.e. styrofoam)
Generating a Shipping Label
UPS and FedEx are the two most commonly used Shipping Websites for personal shipping. You can fill out their page and find a quote and print your own shipping label for your package.

If You Need Exxact To Generate A Shipping Label For You
If you need Exxact to assist with parcel shipping services, request for a shipping label through your Support or RMA ticket. Exxact representatives will need to generate a Shipping Quote that will require payment in advance. Exxact is as much as a customer to shipping/freight services as anyone else. The process to provide you a quote, process payment, and schedule the Freight Shipment and instructions may take a few days.
Exxact uses a separate platform to manage shipments through multiple shipping providers, so there is a markup (sometimes flat-fee) associated if you request for Exxact to help you with your shipping.

If payment is handled, then an Exxact representative will reach out to you to request the following information. To speed this process up, you can just provide this information to the Exxact representative while payment is being processed.

- Shipment Dimensions: Length x Width x Height of box in inches
- Shipment Weight: (in lbs)
