How to install AMD EPYC Processor:

Step 1: Slide CPU into CPU Carrier/Guide Frame

You should feel and hear a subtle click when it reaches the bottom of the guiding frame. Be careful not to touch the CPU pins.

Step 2: Lower the CPU Guide Frame Until Both Outer Corners Click

Step 3: Screw Down the Hold-Down Frame

Using a T20 screwdriver, screw down the hold-down frame in 1-2-3 order.

Step 4: Check for Even Torque

A unique T20 screwdriver bundled with some AMD processor boxes was used in the video above. While not completely necessary, this specialized tool ensures that each screw fastening the CPU hold-down tray is evenly torqued. The video also shows each screw being tightened a bit more even after using the lowest power screwdriver torque setting.

If you are doing this without power tools, make sure to tighten each screw evenly. Ensure that you can still unscrew the CPU hold-down guide screws in case you need to remove the AMD CPU again.
