Step 1: Open the box, remove and organize the necessary contents, and take off plastic coverings.

In the order of what I’m pointing at:

  1. 4x short shock spring screws
  2. 4x CPU tray mounting screws
  3. 8x short radiator-fan assembly screws
  4. 8x long fan-to-radiator mounting screws
  5. Small tube of thermal compound (paste)

Remove plastic covers from the cooling block contact plate. Failure to do so may result in melted plastic and possible additional damage or obstruction to the processor. The cooling block may reach very high temperatures while the system is under heavy use.

Step 2: Position the Liquid CPU Cooler and radiator fans, if applicable, so that all manufacturer logos are displayed upright after installation into the system.

Note: This may not apply to all Liquid CPU Cooler models.

Mainly:

  • Fans will be installed under/behind the radiator.
  • Radiator-fan power cables are located near the cable-management cavities (as shown later in this guide).
  • Ensure that cables and tubes are not crossed during or after installation.
  • Install it as per the manufacturer's suggestions.

Note: There may be some controversy, especially regarding fan orientation as displayed in manuals.

Step 3: Attach fans to the radiator using the long screws.

Tap the top of the screws to catch the radiator screw holes. It may take a few tries to get the alignment right with all 8 screws. (Note: This was my 5th attempt).

Step 4: Untangle all cables and cable ties.

Step 5: Mount the CPU Cooling Block mounting cables to the CPU Cooling Block.

Step 6: Not an official step, but here's how you should carry the assembly to the system if you're going to install it now.

Remember the CPU Cooler assembly orientation step from earlier.
