How to Remove a PCIe Device

How to Remove PCIe Device:

Step 1: Remove Mount Screw

Remove screw that mounts PCIe device bracket to the chassis.

Step 2: Unlock Lock Tab and Lift PCIe Device

Press down on the PCIe lock tab to unlock and lift the PCIe device out of its slot.

Without pressing down on this tab, you will cause severe damage to the PCIe device and the motherboard PCIe slot, arguably the 2 most costly parts of the system.
